Sangiovese is a red Italian wine grape variety that derives its name from the Latin Sanguis Jovis, “The blood of Jupiter”.

The brilliant red color of this Sangiovese hints at the bright red fruit aromas of cherry and currant, enhanced
with notes of toasty tobacco. On the palate, these fiavores are joined by black raspberry and wild strawberry, which deepen on the long, refreshing finish, with whiffs of spicy nutmeg and clove.

Pairs well with a Italian cuisine is tomato-based pasta and pizza sauces with a based Chianti or dishes like
red meat, roast chicken, BBQ, steak and thicksoups like ribollita and pur’eed bean soup.
